38、omainsandgeneratesmeaningfromahierarchyofdataclassification.Itisanexpansionofthecurrentwebinwhichknowledgeisgivenaclearandunambiguousmeaningviaontologies.Becausetheygivestructuredvocabulariesaformalspecificationofsharedconcepts,ontologiesarecrucialforachievinginteroperabilityinlargedomainssuchassmar

42、elopmentofthesemanticwebandinteroperabilityfield.Smartenergybusinessesfunctioninginamore-and-moredigitalenvironmenttodayneedmoreautomation,interoperability,anddatagovernanceintheirday-to-dayoperations.Whilethesemanticwebandinteroperabilityresearchhaveattractedalotofinterestandmademajorimprovements,t

43、herearefewworksavailablethataddressthoseconceptsforthewholesmartenergydomain.Thisdocumentsgoalistoexaminethisknowledgegapbyreviewingandanalysingtheexistingontologyandsemanticinteroperabilityworkinthedomainandproposeaframeworkandbestpracticeforfuturestandardizationworkinthedomain.Sonumerousontologies

44、arebeingdevelopedtoprovidesemanticinteroperabilitysolutionstomanydomains.FromdomesticIoTtoindustry,chemistry,biotechnologiesormedicalsector,manydomainsareworkingtoensuresemanticinteroperabilityoftheknowledgeanddatatheyaccumulate.Theseworkscanreachverydifferentdegreesofmaturity,fromresearchthesiswork

45、stotheimplementationofindustrialservicesbasedonsemanticinteroperabilitybetweendatamodelsenabledbyanontology.Thesmartenergydomainisnotleftbehindwhenitcomestotheseworks.Therehavebeenmanystudiesamongsemanticinteroperabilityinpowergridandenergyontologyanddifferentontologieshavebeendevelopedtoimproveener

46、gydatainteroperability.Choosingareferenceontologywhichmeetstherequirementandcoversthelargedomainsinsmartenergysystemsisabigchallengeasnotallontologiesrepresentthesameenergydatadomainsandatthesamelevelofdatadetails.Thisheterogeneityresultsininteroperabilityissuesinimplementationoftheseontologies.Oneo

47、ftheseveralchallengestobuildaunifiedontologyforthesmartenergydomainistoidentifysemanticallyequivalentobjectsinalreadyexistingontologiesofthedomain.Therefore,thedeterminationofamethodofunificationOrfacilitatingthenecessaryinteroperabilityforsmartenergyiskeytogoonestepbeyondthemajorinnovationsandimpro
