1、Flying like the geeseI am glad to stand here and talk about my topic: Flying like the geese. Now the title “flying ”is not the real definition as the birds fly. That means “learn to fly like the geese, learn about their group works and community”.Especially to our students, theyre young, they need t
2、o learn more life skills and knowledge in the future. But how to learn those skills and adapt to the society ? They need to know one of the important skills is the sense of community. Just like the spirit of the geese Flying in V formation.In autumn, when you see geese heading south for the winter,
3、flying alone in “V” formation, you might consider why the reason they fly that way. By flying in this formation, the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own. When the head goose gets tired, another goose flies ahead instead, and if one goose falls out of
4、the team ,others can get it back into this team by the flying powerful in front. Finally, the important thing is that they work in groups and protect each other.We also teach students use the sense of community in our teaching method in class. There is another name means: group works. The activities
5、 can help students learn many things by cooperating with their peers, they need to communicate and discuss solutions .On the other hand, group works need community .It is quite often that one is not able to carry out a job by itself. He needs more people to complete it together. They can learn to be
6、 more tolerant and solve their differences or conflicts peacefully if they try to achieve the common goal of the team.So our students need the sense of the community. They get the spirit more, they will be successful in their works .If they have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in the line with those who are heading in the same direction as we are and we will stand by each other like them. At last but not least, we must remember “A common danger causes common action”!
