8、y the materials, dimensions and finish of copper and aluminium alloy rivet burrs for aircraft use. 2 Material The burrs shall be manufactured from the appropriate material specified in Table 1. 3 Dimensions The burrs shall conform to the dimensions specified in Table 2. 4 Finish a) Copper burrs shal
9、l be tinned in accordance with the requirements of Ministry of Supply aircraft process specification D.T.D. 9241). b) Aluminium alloy rivet burrs shall be anodized in accordance with the requirements of Defence Standard DEF STAN 03-251). 5 Freedom from defects a) The burrs shall be free from harmful
10、 defects. b) Burrs may be rejected at any time for faults in, or revealed by, manufacture, although they have been made from material passed previously for chemical composition and mechanical properties. 6 Identification The burrs shall be identified for ordering purposes by the relevant British Sta
11、ndard number (see Table 1), together with the appropriate code letter shown in Table 2, e.g. an aluminium alloy burr with a ! in. internal diameter is SP 58 G.
