Scope steel, hereafter referred to as “steel bolts“, flat head bolts made of stainless steel, hereafter referred to as “stainless steel bolts“ and flat head bolts made of brass, hereafter referred to as

5、“brass bolts“ for general use. This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies flat head bolts made of Strength class Remarks 1. In this Standard, the steel bolts, stainless steel bolts and brass bolts are generically referred to merely as the “bolts“. Slotted flat head bolt Flat head bolt with a revers

Mechanical properties as follows: The mechanical properties of the bolts shall be Brinell hardness HB Rockwell hardness HRB (i) The mechanical properties of the steel bolts shall comply with Table 2. However, this table shall not apply to the bolts of which weldability,

11、corrosion resistance, heat resistance to 300C or above (250C or above for free cutting steel) and low-temperature resistance to -50C or below are required. 13、etween the head and the cylindrical part (1. (2) The yield point shall apply if it is definite. If it is indefinite, the yield strength with 0.2% of permanent elongation shall apply. (3) The bolts shall withstand a load equal to the minimum value of tensile strength. Breakage may occur at the thread

14、ed part or the cylindrical part but it shall not occur at the root between the head and the cylindrical part. (4) In the case of fully threaded bolts, fissures shall not occur at the root between the head and the shank part even if fissures may occur at the first thread on the head part. (2) The mec

15、hanical properties of stainless steel and brass bolts shall be agreed upon between the purchaser and the manufacturer. 19、lated threads shall be the maxi- mum permissible dimensions of 4h or quality 1 external threads. 22、ugh 4 B 1179-1994 The surface roughness is not specified but the shape and dimensions shall comply with Attached Table 1-2 and Attached Table 2. 7. Appearance The surface roughness of the bolts shall comply with the requirements in Table 5. Further, the bolts shall be free from surface defects such

23、as cracks and harmful flaws and burrs in use. The standard limit of surface defects should preferably conform to JIS B 1041, unless otherwise required. 8. Materials The materials of the bolts shall be as follows: (i) The material of steel bolts shall be carbon steels of which the products satisfy th

24、e mechanical properties specified in 4. (2) The material of stainless steel bolts shall, as a rule, comply with JIS G 4303 or JIS G 4315. (3) The material of brass bolts shall, as a rule, comply with JIS H 3250 or JIS H 3260. 9. Surface treatment treatment. However, plating or other surface treatmen

25、ts shall be specified if required. Steel bolts electroplated shall be treated to eliminate brittleness as required. The bolts shall, in general, not be subjected to surface 10. 27、e bolts shall be inspected as described below. However, the sampling method in the lot inspection shall be agreed upon between the purchaser and the manufacturer. (i) Inspection of mechanical properties The mechanical properties of steel bolts shall be inspected in accordance with Table 6. Results o

28、f the inspec- tion shall satisfy the requirements in 4.(1). 30、 4T Remarks 1. The mechanical properties for the strength classes 4.6 and 4.8 are based on the inspection program B specified in 5.1 of JIS B 1051. 31、lts which have been subjected to the tensile strength inspection or key tensile strength inspection. However, when the tensile tests cannot be conducted for dimensional reasons and others, the hardness inspection shall be conducted for determination. The bolts which have been inspected for the key t

32、ensile strength, the inspection of tensile strength may be omitted. 2. For bolts of the strength classes 4.6 and 4.8, the inspection program B may be replaced by the inspection program A specified in 5.1 of JIS B 1051. In this case, tensile strength, yield point (or yield strength), elongation after

33、 breakage and impact strength of the head shall comply with the requirements in Table 2. 3. The mechanical properties for the strength class 4T are based on the inspection program specified in 4.1 of Annex in JIS B 0151. when tension tests cannot be conducted for dimensional reasons and others, the

34、hardness inspection shall be conducted for determination. However, 4. The hardness shall be either the Brinell hardness or the Rockwell hardness. Other types of hardness shall be agreed upon between the purchaser and the manufacturer. 5. By the agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer, t

35、he inspection of mechanical properties to be conducted at the delivery of the products may be partly omitted by confirmation of test results or others. (2) Inspection of shape and dimensions The shape and dimensions shall be inspected by direct measurement, limit gauges and other methods. Results of

Results of the inspection shal

How- ever, the material shall be excluded from the designation for steel bolts and the strength class of mechanical properties shall be excluded from the designation for stainless steel bolts and brass bolts. 41、ted by JIS number (6), class, finish, Notes (6) The JIS number may be omitted unless especially required. (7) As for the “specified items“, the shape of screw thread end, length of screw threaded part, type of plating, etc. shall be shown as required. When the length of screw threaded part is specif

42、ied, the value shall be indicated in parentheses after symbol 1.
