2、 the birth of the Chinese space industry. April 24, 1970: First artificial Earth satellite - Dong Fang Hong-1 Satellite - was launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center as China joins the former Soviet Union, America, France and Japan as the fifth country to launch satellites. October 15, 2003: The

3、 launch of its first manned aircraft - Shenzhou 5 - sent one astronaut into space. October 24, 2007: The first unmanned lunar orbiter - Change 1- was launched, making China the fifth country to master this technology. September 25, 2008: The Shenzhou VII spacecraft carryingthree crew members was lau

4、nched by a Long March 2F (CZ-2F) rocket. On 27 September, Zhai Zhigang, wearing a Chinese-developed Feitian space suit, conducted a 22-minute space walk, the first ever for a Chinese astronaut.,Dong Fang Hong I (Red East1),Dong Fang Hong I (Red East1),China launched its first satellite Dong Fang Hon

5、g I (DFH I) to earth orbit on April 24, 1970, becoming the fifth country in the world to independently launch satellite following the USSR, USA, France and Japan.,Shenzhou 5,Shenzhou5 manned spaceship indigenously(国产地) developed by China, was launched into space at 9:00 am (Beijing Time) on October

6、15, 2003 from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. It was Chinas first manned spaceflight mission. And this launch made China the third nation in the world to independently develop manned spaceflight, after Russia and the United States.,Shenzhou7,Shenzhou7 was launched on September 25, 2008, and success

7、fully put three astronauts into space. On September 27, Zhai Zhigang made a monumental (不朽的)spacewalking, which means Chinas first step into space. Shenzhou 7 safely landed on earth on September 28, which means the whole mission was completely successful. During the shenzhou 7 mission, Chinese astro

8、naut made a spacewalking for the first time, making a great leap in space technology, which was an announcement to the world that China had become the third one to grasp key technology in spacewalking. It was the third milestone in the history of manned spaceflight in China.,There are three steps of

9、 Chinas moon exploration program. The launch of Change-1 was the first step in the countrys three-stage moon mission, which will lead to a moon landing and launch of a moon rover(漫游者) in 2012 or thereabouts. The second phase of the space program aims at soft landing. In the third phase, another rove

10、r will land on the moon and return to Earth with lunar soil and stone samples for scientific research in about 2017.,This photo shows a rendering picture of Chinas lunar orbiter Change I.,China published the countrys first full map of the moon surface on Wednesday, about a year after its first lunar

11、 probe - Change I - was launched.Officials said the map covered a full range of areas on the moon surface, and it was the most complete image of the moon surface published so far.,Tiangong-1,Tiangong-1 is a rendezvous and docking(交会和对接) target spacecraft of Chinas manned space engineering project. A

The first step is to send Chinese astronauts into space, conduct multi-day and

14、 multi-manned space flight (多人多日太空飞行)with safe return to the preset position. The tasks of the first step have been perfectly completed with the Shenzhou-5 to Shenzhou-7 missions. The second step is to make a breakthrough in the key technology of carrying out extravehicular(太空船外的) activity and rendezvous docking(交会和对接), send space station into space, and perform short-term manned space applicable experiment. The third step is to build a permanent space laboratory that allows astronauts to conduct long-term manned space applicable experiment.,Thank you,
