1、定语从句 之 介词+ Translation I have a friend who lives in Shiquan . The boss attached much importance to forming a new band which was very attractive and popular. Briefly speaking, the old lady just wanted to play a joke on the young man who wore beard. 一 “介词+关系代词”引导定语从句，若从句修 饰人只能用whom, 修饰物只能用which。在 这种结构
2、中，that不可用。 e.g. The boy is Tom. I went to the park with Tom. =The boy with whom I went to the park is Tom. eg:The article is written by Lu Xun. They are talking about the article. =The article about which they are talking is written by Lu Xun. 二 介词也可放在从句的末尾，此时关系代词 也可用that(口语中指人也可用who),而且 which, that
3、, whom 也可省略。 e.g. This is the room (which/that/) we lived in last year. The girl (whom/that )you are talking about is Lily. 三 “n.+of+which/whom=whose+n.” e.g. I dont like the dog the hair of which is black. (whose hair) The girl the eyes of whom are big is my roommate. (whose eyes) He wrote a large
4、number of books, many of which sold well. There are 60 students here, 30 of whom like the film. 特殊情况 有些名词虽然不是明确的表示地点或处所 ，但它们可以表示“局面， 情形， 境地， 状况， 场合” 等意义，这些词往往被看成是 抽象意义上的“地点”，因此也可用where引 导定语从句，在从句中做状语，此类词有 point, case, situation, scene, stage, position, state, 等. e.g. We are in a position where we ma
5、y lose a lot of money. .关系副词=介词+关系代词 When=on/in/at/during+which Where=in/at/on+which Why=for which e.g. Ill never forget the day when we met each other.
