1、 On Multiple PersonalityMultiple personality, as far as I am concerned, means that a person has more than one mentalities or characters at different times, and even at the same time. To have a full understanding of this, we are supposed to know someting about Freuds theory of personality structure.
2、According to him, there are three personality structures, namely, id, ego, and superego. Now, Ill glad to share my views on these three personality structures. Id is an unconscious state. We do things according to our basic needs, such as, clothing, food, housing, transportation, sexual gratificatio
3、n, and so on. Thats to say, Id can be thought as the basis of ego, and superego. Because only when the most basic needs are met, can it be possible for us to be engaged in other things. Ego is between id and superego. It acts in accordance with the principle of reality. If something is against the r
4、ules or the law, we will not do it. From this point of view, it can control id. Superego on behalf of conscience, social codes, and self-actualization, is the senior leader of personality. It acts on the purpose of pursuing excellence. When we arrive at this stage, well try our best to become the me
5、n we had expected. In summary, a persons character is a gradual process of changing. Hence, it is not odd that a man may have more than one mentalities or characters at different times, and even at the same time. However, we should keep running after for the true, the good and the beautiful in the process of changing. So, we can enjoy a meaningful life.
