1、Teaching Introduce My subject is the first period of therevision part in Travel Journal, from New Senior English for China,Book 1,Unit 3.There are six parts in my introduce. They are analysis of the teaching material, the teaching aims and methods, the important and difficult points, analysis of the

2、 students , the studying methods, and the teaching procedure. Part 1 Analysis of Teaching Material Status and function :The theme topic of this module is travel journal, including the trip down the river, the scenery and life along the river, trying to promote our awareness of protecting our environ

3、ment. After the revision, Ss will be better at solving problems involved in such topic. Bystudyingthis,using listening and writing rules,reading and writing rules, students can master some important words ,phrases and sentences. we should also make students understandsome difficult sentences and put

4、 them into use. Atthesametime, Sscanimprovetheir listening ,speaking and writingabilities. According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus , and after studying the teaching material, the teaching aims are the followings:1.Knowledge objects (1) The Ss can master some important words and phr

5、ases such as prefer, persuade and determine (2) The Ss can use the Present Perfect Continuous Tense in the proper situation. (3) The Ss can understand the lesson , talk about the advantages of bicycles .2. Ability objects (1) To develop the Ss abilities of listening , reading , writing and speaking,

6、(2) To guide Ss to set up effective studying ways. (3) To train the Ss abilities of cooperative learning.3. Emotion objects By learning this lesson, the Ss increase their interest in cycling and make them save energy and reduce pollution Part 2 the Important and Difficult PointsBased on the requirem

7、ent of the syllabus.The difficult point is Present Perfect Continuous Tense such as People have been enjoying the benefits of cycling in Amsterdam for years.The important points :1.Important words and phrases:1)Words:prefer,persuade,determine2)Phrases:make up ones mind,give in ,care about2.Sentences

8、:a.insistObject Clauseb.adj to do c. the Present Continuous Tense for future actionsP art 3 Analysis of the students1 .They are lack of vocabulary.2 Some students are weak in English and can not express themselves in English.3 Some students are very shy and are afraid of making mistakes.So I will he

9、lp my students overcome these difficulties during my class. Part 4 Teaching Methods and AidsWe all know , a good teaching method is not only to give the students the knowledge but also to help the students get the knowledge and solve the problem which they meet . For achieving these teaching aims, I

10、 will use the following methods :Task-based Language Teaching ,Revision method , Communication and debate methods ,listening method and Consolidation method. Teaching aids: Multi-media computer, some pieces of chalk , a recorder, a blackboard and so on.Part 5 Learning methodsAutonomous learning ,Coo

11、perative learning.Part 6 Teaching ProcedureBasis to carry out Step 1. Vocabulary and derived 1. Dictation. Ask two of the students to write down their answers on the blackboard,and others on their handouts.Then check the answers together and ask Ss to correct their errors.It is a long-term activity

12、in my teaching. Its aimed to develop not only the Ss English language abilities but also their study habits.2. context mnemonic Its a convenient and quick step to practise Ss listening as well as briefly revise vocabulary and the passage.Step 2 Phrases and expand Step 3 Sentences and use Practise th

13、e sentence structures by doing sentence completion. Step 4 Unit knowledge transfer1 Translate2 Connect sentences into an article. While revising the key points in this unit, I just try to develop Ss ability of autonomous study and using knowledge flexibly.Step 5. Homework1. Finish all the exercises

14、in their reference books.2.Read another passage about travel journal.Homework is so important and necessary for the students to master the knowledge which they learned after class. It will check whether the Ss achieve the teaching aims.Besides,a good blackboard design plays an important part in the English teaching.If the design is clear and simple,it is easier for the students to understand the lesson and remember the important points.
