Warming upIntroduce own experience of holiday journey:I,m from the Sand Lake. I think it,s very beautiful. But

2、 there are many beautiful places in China. For example,last September I went to Nanjing,Yangzhou,Suzhou,Hangzhou and Shanghai. Especially 东方明珠of Shanghai,it,s very great. Where did you go? Understand the teacher and answer the question with “I went to.”Show a picture of 东方明珠,强调上海的发展和中国科技的进步,以激发学生们的热

3、情和促进他们对学习的认识。Step 2. Presentation(1)There is a girlBetty,she went to Los Angeles two years ago. Los Angeles?Where is it in?America?What do you know about it?Answer the question and say something about America. For example,米老鼠和唐老鸭、自由女神像及西部牛仔等出示美国国旗图片,使学生们对美国有一个初步的印象;再接着给出米老鼠和唐老鸭、自由女神像及西部牛仔等具有象征意义和代表性

4、的图片,加深学生们对美国的了解。(2)Show a picture of America and ask“What other places do you know about America?”And then explain the places with some pictures.Look at the picture and say them. They can say them in Chinese. And then to know something about the places.通过美国地图进一步让学生了解美国的旅游,娱乐和文化景点,以及理解Betty旅游的目的,从而为确

Listening and reading(1)Say and ask:We know Betty went to Los Angeles,Di
