1、EffectiveWaysofLearningLet children learn to judge their own work. A child learning to talk does not learn by being corrected all the time ;if corrected too much ,he will stop talking .He notices a thousand times a day the difference between the language he uses and the language of those around him
2、.Bit by bit ,he makes the necessary changes to make his language like other peoples .In the same way, children learn to walk ,run ,climb ,whistle, ride a bicycle without being taught. They compare their own performance with those of more skilled people ,and slowly make the needed changes. But in sch
3、ool we never give a child a chance to find out his mistakes for himself ,let alone a mistake unless pointed out to him, and that he wouldnt correct it unless made to .Soon he becomes dependent on the teacher .Let him do it himself .Let him work out what this word says, what the answer is to that pro
4、blem ,whether this is a good way of doing this or not .He can get help from other children if he wants. If it is a matter of right or wrong answers, as it may be in mathematics or science ,give him the answer book. Let him correct his own papers .Why should we teachers waste time on such tiring work? Our job should be to help the child when he cant find the way to get the right answer. Lets end all this grading and examination nonsense .Lets throw all that out ,and let children learn in their own way-let children learn how to learn!
