1、Unit 8 When is your birthday? 一、单元教材分析本单元主要学习日期的表达方式。本单元主要围绕“谈论日期”这一话题开展听、说、读和写的学习活动,学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法;学会运用 when 引导的特殊疑问句询问日期;通过学习能掌握英语表达年、月、日的单词和句型,能够熟练地谈论各种有关日期的话题。此外,还要学习名词所有格 ( s 所有格 ) 的构成和使用;学习询问表达年龄的句型。能够询问及表达一些常见的节日的日期。二、单元学情分析本单元的主题是询问和谈论日期,围绕这一主题进行一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握日期的表达法,正确使用 when 引导的特殊疑问

2、句对日期进行询问。在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数词的构成,学生在以前的课程里已经学习了基数词,对于两种数词之间的区别一定会令学生感到头痛,教师要引导学生运用对比的方法,找出构成规律,总结特殊变化,对比强化记忆。三 、单元课时分配Section A 1 (1a-1c) Section A 2 (2a-2e) Section A 3 (Grammar focus-3c)Section B 1 (1a-1d) Section B 2 (2a-2c) Section B 3 (3a-Self check) Section A 1 (1a-2e)一、教学目标: 1) 能掌握下列词汇:when, Jan

My birthday is on October 2nd. 3) 能够掌握日期的询问与表达方式;4) 能通过谈论自己理解生日更多的含义。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 询问表达自己的生日日期。2) 理解序数词的构成方法,掌握日期的表达方式。2. 教学难点:1) 询问表达自己的生日日期。2) 理解序数词的构成方法,掌握日期的表达方式。三

4、、教学过程Step 1. Warming-up Listen to the song: Happy birthday to you!Step 2. Presentation1.Show the pictures of the twelve months on the screen, or show a big calendar to the Ss. Learn the names of the twelve months: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November

5、, December 2. Look at the activities the pictures show and tell which month it is. 3. Read. Work on 1a. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and repeat the new words. Ss read the new words and try to remember them. (采用方法:教师先领读,然后男生读,女生读,链式读,给出汉语说英语,给出英语说汉语,最后跟读正音。紧凑的教学环节使学生能够全身心的投入学习中。) 4. Listen

May 2nd(5月2日)是日期的表达法。表达具体日期通常为“月份 + 序数词”,月份为专有名词,首字母必须大写、书写时日期可以是序数词,也可以是基数词。如: 6月8日 June 8th 或 June 8 8月3日 August 3rd 或 August 3 拓展 英语中表示具体年、月、日的方式通常有两种:“月 + 日 + 年”或“日 + 月 + 年”。年份要用

11、逗号隔开。如:2014年9月9日可表达为: September 9th, 20143)月份后有具体的日期时,前面的介词用on;若只有年、月就用介词in。如:on May 22nd 在5月22日 in October 在10月 in 2012 在2012年 Step 6. Exercise.一、根据汉语提示写出单词或按要求完成句子。1. 22、 how old 意为“多大年纪;几岁”,引导特殊疑问句询问年龄。其句型结构为“How old + be + 主语?”答语通常为“主语 + be + 基数词 + years old”,其中 years old 可以省略。如: How old is your cousin? 表姐多大了? Shes thirteen (years old). 她13岁了。 How old are your grandparents? 你爷爷奶奶多大岁数了? Theyre eighty. 他们八十岁了。3. At three this afternoon. 介词 at 意为 “在”,在本句中表示时间,其后一般跟表示

23、钟点的词。如: at 6:00 在6点 at 7:15 在7点15分 辨一辨 表示时间的介词at, in与on (1) at 常用于时刻前或一些固定的习惯用语中。如: at 9:00 在9点钟 at noon 在中午(2) in 用在月份、季节、年份等前面,也可以表示“在早上、在下午、在晚上”。如:in May 在五月in 2014 在2014年in the morning/afternoon/evening 在早上/下午/晚上(3) on 用在日期、星期几、节日前,也可用来表示具体某一天的上午、下午或晚上。如: on November 1st 在11月1日 on Childrens Day
