For each job, there is the appro
2、priate tool or piece of equipment to use. That is why it is important to make sure we are using the tools and equipment designed to assist in getting the job done.,杜邦安全STOP行为安全,3,NON-EVAPORATIVE UNSAFE ACTS,When talking about tools and equipment, we are referring to screwdrivers, hammers, etc. as we
3、ll as forklifts, cranes and machinery. Most of the unsafe acts related with the way employees use tools and equipment are non-evaporative. Listen for vibrations and unusual sounds. Smell for unusual odors. Feel

7、安全,8,WHAT TO OBSERVE WHERE MACHINES & EQUIPMENT ARE USED,Machine hazards are recognized. Adequate guards and safety devices are installed and maintained. 8、EVEN STEPS ON MACHINE SAFETY,1. Use the right machine for the job. 2. Eliminate the need of the operator to reach into the machine. 3. Make the machine controls convenient, identifiable, and protected from accidental activation. 4. Provide guards or safety devices. 5. Ensure good maintenance of mach

Establish good “match” between operator and machine. 9. See that proper dress and PPE are used. 10. Train employees in safe work

11、he/she can speak with the employees, thereby teamwork and morale may be maintained. If the supervisor of the area cannot be found, then the supervisor/manager who observed the unsafe condition/act should take immediate corrective action to prevent recurrence. Remember.Safety is a line-management res
12、ponsibility.,杜邦安全STOP行为安全,13,UNIT #5 REVIEW,Before we observe Tools and Equipment, we must fix our attention on reactions, personal protective equipment and positions of people. 28% of injuries with lost work days are due to the use of tools and equipment. We must make sure that the tools and equipm
13、ent that are being used are appropriate for the job. 14、ipment incorrectly. - Operating in unsafe conditions. We must have a questioning attitude when talking with employees. Safety is a line-management responsibility and the objective of our observations and actions is to eliminate injuries.,
