2、is/am/are +being+P.P过去分词）表示现在正在被 这句 话的意思是：它们（手机）现在被人们当作照相机和收音机使用，还可以发送电子邮件和上网 。 现在进行时的被动语态我们暂不讨论。 让我们复习一下关于used这一词的具体搭配和用法。一原文中含有两种结构，其中之一， be used as .意思是“ 被用作为 ”例如：A burnt stick can be used as a pe喉焦的树枝可被用作笔来写字。我们再看另一个句子 This grammar book can be use as a textbook这本语法书可被用作教 科书来用。Be used as它的主动语态是us
3、e A as B意思是把A当作B用。如 You can use the burnt stick as a pen 你可以把烧焦的树枝当作笔来写字。.二.be used to do。 上面句中 含有的 and to”实际上是 They are being used to send e-mail or surf the Internet 的省略。我们抛开时态不谈，这里有beusedto+do（动词原形）被用于经常和be used for +n/ doing 替换。如： Knives are used for cutting things . or Knives are used to cut th
4、ings .刀子被用来切东西。还有 Papercan be used for writing on . or Papercan be used to write on . 意思 是纸可用来写字。三 我们经常见到这一词组： be/get/become used to+ doing /n 表示习惯于 （做）某事。连系动词可用各种时态形式，介词 to 后可接名词或动词 -ing 形式。 例如： He has got used to getting up early .意思是他已经习惯于早起。 Youwill soon get used to living in the country . 你会很快习
5、惯于农村生活的。 He is used to hard work . 意思是 他习惯于辛勤工作。四关于 used 的另外一种搭配， 也是用的最频繁的， used to do 表示 过去习惯的动作或状态 ，隐含有过去是那种情况，而现在已经不是那样了，具有过去与现在相反情况的对比。如在课本第一册第七单元课后练习中124页，有这样一句话： First , the River Nile （ 尼罗河 ）used to flood （淹没） large areas every year and destroyed houses and crops意思是尼罗河过去常常泛滥成灾，每年都淹 没大片地区， 还毁坏
6、了房屋和庄稼。 暗含之意现在经过治理已经不那样了。 He used to play cards a lot . 他过去常常玩牌。 （隐含有他现在已经不玩牌了之意。 ） used to do 变成疑问句有下列两种形式：Did you use to play football at school? 或 Used you to play football at school ?（你 过去在学校里踢球吗？ ） 变成否定句时可用 used not to或usedn tto口语中常用 didn t use t&口 He didn t use to listen to the radio . cH e us
7、edn t to listen to the radio .五。 used to do 与 would 的区别 ： Used to do 表示过去习惯性的 动作或状态 ，而且现在已经不再是那种情况了。Would 则只表示过去的习惯性 动作 ， 不能表示状态，而且动作有可能现在还存在。如 He used to play cards .他过去常 常玩牌。（他现在已经不玩牌了。） When I was young , I would listen to the radio . 我小时经常听收音机。 （现在有可能还在听,也可能不听）这两个句子都表示动作。 另外涉及到状态只能用 used to 不能用 would 。 如 He used to be very fat . 他过去很胖。 我们不能说成He would be very fat . 因为 would 不能用于表示状态“胖” 。总之， be used as , be used for , be used to do , be used to doing /n , used to do ,would , 这几个词组非常容易让我们混淆， 需要我们记住它们的细微区别， 我 们要在练习中巩固和掌握。
