15、 documentThis document describes the structure of the CP 242/A (CPU module).Additionally, the installation and configuration is described enough to obtainan operationally ready module. Ready for operation means that the assemblyis ready for the synchronization of the firmware and the application.Inf

Necessary safety notes forthe end costumer have to be taken into the costumer manual in the respectivenational language by the machine builders and system providers.1.2 PreconditionsThis document contains information for persons with the followin

22、bots,presses, machine tools and similar.The CP 242/A may only be used for the types of use described in the technicaldescriptions and in compliance with described technical general conditions.The CP 242/A may only be used in conjunction with recommended/approvedthird-party equipment/installations.Th

23、e CP 242/A has been developed, manufactured, tested and documented inaccordance with the appropriate guidelines and standards. Therefore, theproducts do not pose any danger to the health of persons or a risk of damageto other property or equipment under normal circumstances, provided that theinstruc

32、erve the safety instructions in thesystem manual for your automation system.The following areas of application are expressly excluded for theCPU module:Use in areas where there is a risk of explosion or fireUse in the mining sectorUse in the open airOther products are to be used for these applicatio

33、ns!The CPU module is not designed for safety-relevant control tasks (e.g.:shutdown in case of an emergency). For safety-relevant control tasks andpersonnel security, additional external safety measures must be implemen-ted to ensure the system remains in a safe operating condition even in theevent o

34、f a fault.At the developement of the CPU module the standard EN ISO 13849-1 wasnot considered.The module is defined as open type equipment (UL 508) or as openequipment (EN 61131-2) and must therefore be installed in a control cabi-net.CAUTIONImproper use of the assembly or the control system leads t

35、o irreparable dam-age!Turn off the power supply before inserting or removing the module. Other-wise, the module can be destroyed or undefined signal states can lead todamage of the control system.2.3 Safety instructions for personal safetyWARNING!Danger of personal injury due to electric shock!Suppl

36、y the device exclusively from power sources that have an extra lowvoltage (e.g. SELV or PELV according to EN 61131-2)When using a SELV power source it can become PELV by reason of themodule construction and the connectors (grounding!).Protective low voltage circuits must always be installed safely i

38、y section).2.4 Safety instructions for device maintenanceCAUTION!The device may only be opened by qualified personnel and only mainte-nance activities expressly approved by KEBA may be performed (see chap-ter “maintenance”). Any other manipulations to the device will result in lossof warranty.If thi

42、odules3.3 Compact Flash slotTo operate a Compact Flash card with the respective firmware and the appli-cation must be plugged into the Compact Flash slot of the CPU module.Depending on the application used the Compact Flash card can also be usedfor storing machine data (e.g. mold data or part data).

43、InformationUse only Compact Flash cards which are recommended by KEBA.InformationThe Compact Flash Card cannot be used as removable medium since it alsohas system programs stored on it.Description of the moduleCP 242/A? 44、ardCAUTIONImproper insertion can cause damage to the contact pins.Do not use force when inserting the Compact Flash card into the slot. It is con-structed so that it can only be inserted in one direction and it should slide intothe slot easily with little force.The card:should be kept away from mois
