The room must be cleaned every day.屋子必须每天打扫。You may be asked to do some housework.应该会叫你们做家务。(2)sixteenyearolds在此句中用作名词,意为“16岁的青少年”。“基数词量词(单数)形容词”构成的词通常作形容词,作前置定语,而且这一整体是一个词,后加s表示一类人或事物。如:Fiftyyearolds should retire.

5、五十岁的人该退休了。These students who are fifteenyearolds are going camping this weekends.本周末,这些15岁的学生将去宿营。We students have two days off every week.我们学生每周有两天假。(3)本句中“I dont think+(that)宾语从句”表示“我认为不”。若宾语从句跟在think,believe,suppose,expect等表示“想,认为”的动词之后,而且主句的主语又是第一人称时,在否定从句时,句子的否定体现在主句上,这种现象叫否定转移。如:I dont think i

6、ts a good idea.我认为那不是一个好主意。I dont think (that) he will be late for school tomorrow.我认为他明天不会迟到。2.Sixteenyearolds should be allowed to get their ears pierced.应该允许16岁的青少年打耳洞。get their ears pierced意为“打耳洞”,此处get用作使役动词,相当于make 或have,意为“使,让”。“get/have+宾语+过去分词”结构意为“使某事被做”或“让某人做某事”。其中过去分词表示的动作往往是别人做的,与句中的主语无

7、关。如:Can you get the work finished on time?你能准时让人完成这项工作吗?
