1、专四备考：第二周 强调句 九种形式 最重要一种：强调句型 次重要：几个固定句式 1用助动词“do（doesdid）动词原形”来表示强 调： 强调的是宾语 He does know the place well他的确很熟悉这个 地方。 Do write to me when you get there你到那儿后 务必给我来信。 2用形容词 very，only，single，such, last 等修饰名词或 形容词来加强语气： Thats the very textbook we used last term 这正是我们上学期用过的教材。 You are the only person here
2、 who can speak Chinese 你是这里唯一会讲汉语的人。 Not a single person has been in the shop this morning 今天上午这个商店里连一个人都没有。 How dare you buy such expensive jewels？ 你怎么敢买这么贵的宝石呢？ He is the last person I want to see in this world! 我最不想看他了! 3用in the world，on earth，at all等介词短 语可以表达更强的语气（常用于疑问句): Where in the world cou
3、ld he be？ 他到底会在哪儿？ What on earth is it？ 它究竟是什么？ Do you know at all？ 你到底知不知道？ 4用感叹句来表示强烈的感情，突出说话人的情感 ：见感叹句 How interesting a story it is！ 这是一个多么有趣的故事啊！ Oh，what a lie！ 啊，真是弥天大谎！ 5. 用重复来表示强调： Why！why！The cage is empty！ 啊！啊！箱子是空的。 They walked for miles and miles 他们走了好多英里。 6用倒装句（也就是将要强调的句子或被强 调的部分置于句首）来加
4、强语气： On the table were some flowers 桌上摆着一些花。（强调地点） Many a time have I climbed that hill 我多次翻过那座山。 Only in this way can we solve this problem 只有这样，我们才能解决这个问题。 强调句型 强调主语，宾语和状语 It is /was +强调部分+that/who/whom +其他成分 如果被强调的成分是表示人的词，用who或that来连接都可以 如果是其它成分，则一律用that来连接。 被强调部分既包括人又包括物，用that不用who lt was the t

6、hat wore his new coat to attend the party yesterday. 强调宾语 It was Mikes new coat that he wore to attend the party yesterday. 强调时间状语 It was yesterday that Mike wore his new coat to attend the party . 即使被强调成分是句子中的时间状语，地 点状语，原因状语等，也不能用when， where, because，要用 that. E.g. It was after the war was over that
7、 Einstein was able to come back to his research work again . E.g. It was in front of the bank that the old lady was robbed E.g. It was because of the heavy rain that he came late 1一般疑问句的强调： （1）Did you meet your brother at Mc Donald ? Was it your brother that you met at Mc Donald? (强调宾语) （2）Has Tom b
8、orrowed your money recently? Is it Tom that has borrowed your money recently? (强调主语) wyz108 2 . 特殊疑问句的强调： (1)Where did you see her cellphone yesterday ? Where was it that you saw her cellphone yesterday? 强调地点疑问点where (2)How will you go to visit her tomorrow? How is it that you will go to visit her t
9、omorrow? （强调特殊疑问词how） 3.从句的强调： （1）I came home late because it was raining hard. (强调原因状语从句) It was because it was raining hard that I came home late (2) What you said really made us sad. It was what you said that really made us sad. (强调主语从句) 4.not until 结构的强调： We did not get off the bus until it stop
10、ped . It was not until it stopped that we got off the bus. (注意：强调该结构时not until不能分开) She didnt remember her appointment with the doctor until she had arrived home. It was not until she had arrived home that she remembered her appointment with the doctor. Not until she had arrived home did she remembe
11、r her appointment with the doctor. 5.强调时间状语和地点状语时与定语从句的区别 ： （1）It was in 1921 that our Party was founded. (强调句式) 强调的是。？ （2）It was 1921 when our Party was founded. (定语从句) 即：强调时间或地点时有介词置于其前时， 则连接词用that。 其前面应有介词而被省去时，则用连接词when （时间）或where(地点)。又如： (3) It was on the farm that we practised planting crops.
12、(4) It was the farm where we learned a lot . 但是应注意，有些表示时间或地点的词汇 及短语本身不需要在其前面加介词，故其连词 也只能是that,而不是when或where。再如： (5) It was yesterday that we chatted a lot on line. (6) It was there that Mike was drowned yesterday. 如果去掉it is/was .that句子仍然通顺成立， 则为强调句型 E.g. It was three years ago that he went to American for a further study 去掉It was that 句子为Three years ago he went to America for a further study 句子通顺，意思完整，那么，这就是一个强调 句型。
