26、pose self service basket trolleys, with or without a child carrying facility, intended to be used on passenger conveyors, accompanied by a user. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. ISO 3864 (both parts), Safety colours and safety signs. 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in EN 1929-1:1998 and the following apply. 3.1 basket trolley intended to be used on passenger conveyors

29、manually driven trolley, suitable for use on a passenger conveyor 4 Safety 4.1 Generalities Trolleys covered by this document are intended to be used on passenger conveyors conforming with EN 115 and shall comply with EN 1929-1, with the exception of 5.4, 6 and 4.2.2 only for the diameter of the whe

30、els. 4.2 Total loading mass When used on a passenger conveyor, the total loading mass of the trolley shall not exceed 160 kg. 4.3 Space between the trolley and the passenger conveyor The trolley complying with this document is intended to be used on passenger conveyors for which the nominal width is

31、 not less than 400 mm greater than the overall width of the trolley. 4.4 Maintaining the trolley on the passenger conveyor The trolley shall be equipped with a device that maintains it in a stopped position in the absence of any outside intervention. The diameter of the wheels shall not be less than

32、 120 mm. EN 1929-2:2004 (E) 6 4.5 Stability The trolley shall not overturn, when tested in accordance with: 7.1.1, up to and including 16 in the ascending and descending direction; 7.1.2, up to and including 10 in the sideways direction. 4.6 Stability when exiting the passenger conveyor The trolley

33、shall not overturn in the descending direction when encountering the comb at the exit of the passenger conveyor. This requirement is considered to be met when the trolley conforms to test 7.3. 5 Inspections and tests 5.1 General The manufacturer shall provide written information on inspections and t

34、ests that should include at least the following information: 5.1.1 At the delivery of the trolleys Inspections and operating tests should be carried out by a competent person together with the passenger conveyors on which they will be used. They should include: a) a general visual inspection of the

35、passenger conveyors, especially broken teeth of the comb and dirt; b) a general visual inspection of the trolleys; c) the efficiency of the devices for maintaining laden and unladen trolleys on passenger conveyors; d) the efficiency of the devices for maintaining laden and unladen trolleys when the

36、emergency stop devices have been activated; e) the verification of the ability of laden and unladen trolleys to enter and exit passenger conveyors. 5.1.2 After major modifications Inspections and delivery acceptance tests (5.1.1) should be repeated after major modifications. Major modifications are:

37、 a) for the passenger conveyor: see 16.2.2 “Inspection and test after major modifications“ of EN 115:1995; b) for the trolleys: structural modifications; use of components or accessories other than the original ones, in particular changing of wheels or of devices for maintaining trolleys in a stoppe

38、d position. NOTE Replacement of parts by parts of the same design is not considered to be a major modification. 5.1.3 Periodically Periodic inspections and tests according to 5.1.1 should be carried out at least every six months. They should include the condition of the castors of all the trolleys.

39、- - - EN 1929-2:2004 (E) 7 5.2 Register The technical characteristics of the interface between the passenger conveyor installations and trolleys should be recorded in a register, at the latest at the time of commissioning of the trolleys. This register should be kept up to date by a competent safety

40、 officer and should include: a) a technical record of the trolley commissioning date and characteristics, especially the total loading mass, major modifications or component changes; b) dated reports of examinations, inspections, maintenance and tests, together with comments, as well as reports of a

41、ny accidents. This register should be at the disposal of the maintenance department and of the safety manager (the national authority can indicate with reference to their regulations, who is responsible for the register). 5.3 Commissioning, use of, maintenance and repair The manufacturer shall provi

42、de instructions for commissioning, use of, maintenance and repair of the trolleys, as well as the frequency of the periodic tests (at least every six months). The trolleys should be regularly maintained by competent persons. 5.4 Technical requirements for the use of trolleys on passenger conveyors B

43、asket trolleys covered by this document are intended to be used on passenger conveyors conforming to EN 115, the maximum nominal speed of which is 0,5 m/s, and the landing zones are within the limits given in Figure 1, so as to facilitate the transition of trolleys and passengers and to meet the req

44、uirements of sub-clause 0.5.3 of EN 115:1995. 46、 to the purchaser concerning fixing visible and permanent signboards close to the entrance of the conveyor. These recommendations shall include at least the following: - A pictogram in white on green background (see ISO 3864) conforming to Figure 2 with minimum dimensions (80 80) mm fixed close to t

47、he entrance of the passenger conveyor accompanied by the following instruction “Hold the handle continuously“. - Instructions in characters that are easy to read in the language of the country in which the trolleys are to be used. 48、handle - Following additional instructions affixed: the maximum basket load; use only with trolleys carrying the appropriate pictogram (Figure 2); the trolley should be held at all times on the passenger conveyor. Other instructions may be used, such as: the load should not exceed the sides of the t

49、rolley. 6.2 Marking Trolleys shall have a pictogram conforming to Figure 2, of dimensions not less than (20 20) mm, permanently affixed to the handle. The maximum basket load shall be clearly visible to the user. An identification plate including the following indications shall be visibly and permanently affixed to each trolley: E
