Preface If light alloys (like aluminum and magnesium) are connected to more noble metals or to n-

4、type solids (like elastomers and plastics), they are likely to corrode in the presence of aqueous electrolytes. Elastomers and plastics must have a satisfactory specific volume resistance, so that this kind of corrosion is prevented. This also applies to materials connected to painted light alloy su

5、rfaces, since the paint coats do not ensure full protection against galvanic corrosion because of possible damages, flaws in the paintwork etc. Changes The following changes have been made as compared to PV 1015, 1996-01: - The specific volume resistance has been 106 cm for aluminum and 109 cm for m

6、agnesium. - Standard restructured Previous issues 1995-05; 1996-01 1 Scope This standard defines requirements on parts made of elastomers and plastics as well as on window adhesives, which are located on the body-in-white or on body components and connected to light alloys (preferably aluminum and m

7、agnesium). Moreover, requirements are specified for parts made of elastomers and plastics as well as for window adhesives, which are located outside the body and connected to light alloys (wall diameter 1.2 mm). This test specification applies to sample and standard production monitoring tests. 2 De

8、signation In addition to the material specification of window adhesives and parts made of elastomers and plastics the following entry shall be made in the “material” column of the title block: Electrical insulating properties acc. to PV 1015 3 Test 3.1 Specimen size Specimen plates 120 mm x 120 mm w

9、ith a thickness of 2 mm The English translation is believed to be accurate. In case of discrepancies the German version shall govern. Page 2 PV 1015: 2002-12 3.2 Specimen preparation The specimen plates surfaces shall be cleaned with ethanol prior to aging in standard climate acc. to section 3.3.1.

10、3.3 Specific volume resistance The specific volume resistance shall be identified acc. to DIN IEC 60 093 in DIN 50 014-23/50-2 standard climate. 3.3.1 Elastomers and plastics The values for specific volume resistance after 48 h of aging in DIN 50 014-23/50-2 standard climate are: a) for aluminum: 10

11、4 cm b) for magnesium: 106 cm 3.3.2 Window adhesives The value for specific volume resistance after 48 h of aging in DIN 50 014-23/50-2 standard climate is: 106 cm (independent of the type of light alloy) 4 Corrosion test of elastomer / light alloy contact or window adhesive / light alloy contact Pa

12、rts made of elastomers and window adhesives shall be brought together with sheet metal primed and painted acc. to standard production conditions. Test period: 60 cycles according to PV 1210. After testing there shall be no visible damages in the sheet metal caused by galvanic corrosion. 5 Referenced
