5、ts in the hydraulic brake system. 2 Design According to drawing; deviating requirements called out in drawings take precedence over this TL standard. Deviations in the single part TL standards take precedence over this TL standard. 3 Description Brake according to TL 901 4 Requirements 4.1 As-receiv

6、ed condition Parts shall be free from impurities and damage. Residues/films of auxiliary processing means based on hydrocarbons (mineral oils/synthetic oils) or natural oils and their related derivatives shall not be permitted. Open holes and ports shall be individually sealed. The fitting or remova

7、l of seals must not permit any fluff, chips or other particles to enter into the brake line system. In order to ensure that the system can be filled under vacuum, the parts shall be supplied free from brake fluid, test fluid or mounting fluid. A film of fluid is permissible. Parts subjected to life

8、testing or burst pressure testing shall be scrapped. The English translation is believed to be accurate. In case of discrepancies the German version shall govern. Page 2 TL 901: 2005-04 D 4.2 General requirements Approval of first supply and changes according to Volkswagen standard VW 011 55. Enviro

9、nmental requirements according to VW 911 00 shall be fulfilled. Hydraulic brakes shall fully satisfy the applicable requirements specified in national regulations, in particular FMVSS 106, 116, 135 (USA), D 71/320/EEC (EC), R 13, R 13H (ECE), insofar as these parts are intended for export to countri

10、es in which compliance with these regulations is required by law. 4.3 Mandatory documentation Sections marked with a documentation bar are subject to mandatory documentation. The documents shall be kept on file for 15 years. 4.4 Corrosion resistance of metal parts Surface protection acccording to VW

11、 137 50 (see drawing) 5 Function All individual parts or units shall pass the following tests. 5.1 Leak tightness of parts subject to operating pressure Before and after the endurance test, a pressure drop of 10 bar is permitted after a pressure duration of 2 min. Pressure load 200 bar absolute Dura

12、tion of pressure 2 min 5.2 Vacuum leak tightness (release test) Standard production monitoring shall be carried out when filling the system. All parts and the ASSY must display vacuum resistance. The maximum permitted pressure increase for the entire brake system ASSY shall be 2 mbar after 20 s. Thi

13、s value must be lowered accordingly for individual parts.
