This new International Standard specifies the minimum performance requirements, technic

23、al characteristics and methods of testing, and required test results, for a bridge navigational watch alarm system (BNWAS) as required by Chapter V of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS). It is expected that BNWAS will become a mandatory carriage requirement for ships

24、in 2011 and that type approval of BNWAS will then be required. 33、de organization for standardization comprising all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end and in addition to other acti

48、h alarm system (BNWAS) as required by Chapter V of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), as amended. It takes account of the general requirements given in IMO resolution A.694(17) and is associated with IEC 60945. When a requirement in this standard is different from IE

49、C 60945, the requirement in this standard takes precedence. This standard incorporates the applicable parts of the performance standards included in IMO resolution MSC.128(75).
