2、i- fas) has been accepted as the American National Stan- dard Common Name for the insecticidal chemical O, O-diethyl 0-(3,5,6-thrichlor0-2-pyridyl) phosphoro- thioate. 1.2 Acceptance signifies compliance with American National Standard Procedure for the Acceptance of an American National Standard Co
3、mmon Name for a Pest Control Chemical, K62.1-1968. 2. Use of Common Name 2.1 The common name applies to the 1 O0 percent pure chemical. 2.2 Technical grades and formulations shall indicate the percentage of chlorpyrifos present; for example, chlorpyrifos - 95 percent minimum. 2.3 The Sponsor 1 of th

I Name furnihcd upon requet. has agreed to release and permit the use of the name ?chlorpyrifos? with respect to any product, whether or not manufactured or formulated by it, which contains a pest control chemical conforming to the description set forth in this American

Limitations 3.1 Neither the American National Standards Institute nor its committee guarantees or assumes any responsi- bility that use of this name in connection with this or any other chemical or product will not infringe on or conflict with any existing proprietary name, tra
6、demark or trade name. Approval as an American National Stan- dard Common Name constitutes recognition by the Standards Institute that a consensus exists within a representative committee, operating under Institute procedures, and basing its recommendation on data submitted by a Sponsor, favoring con
7、sideration of the use of the name to designate the pest control chemical described herein by all interested persons.
