Common Name: triforine 1.1 The word “triforine” (pronounced trFf6r-an) has been accepted as the American National Standard Com- mon Name for the chemical I V , “ - 1 ,Cpiperazine- diylbis(2,2,2-trichloroethylidene) bis formamide . 1.2 Acceptance signifies compliance with American Na
3、- tional Standard Procedure for the Acceptance of an American National Standard Common Name for a Pest Control Chemical, K62.1-1974. 2. Use of Common Name 2.1 The common name applies to the 1 0 % pure chem- ical. 2.2 Technical grades and formulations shall indicate the percentage of triforine presen
4、t; for example, tri- forine - 97%-10%. 2.3 The Sponsor of the common name “triforine” has agreed to release and permit the use of the name Name furnished upon request. “triforine” with respect to any product, whether or not manufactured or formulated by it, which contains a pest control chemical con
5、forming to the description set forth in this American National Standard. 3. Limitations Neither the American National Standards Institute nor its committee guarantees or assumes any responsibility that use of this name in connection with this or any other chemical or product will not infringe on or
6、con- flict with any existing proprietary name, trademark, or trade name. Approval as an American National Stan- dard Common Name constitutes recognition by the Standards Institute that a consensus exists within a rep- resentative committee, operating under Institute pro- cedures and basing its recom
7、mendation on data sub- mitted by a Sponsor, favoring consideration of the use of the name to designate the pest control chemical de- scribed herein by ali interested persons.
