1、ACRP Problem No. 12-01-07 Framework for Airport Building this looks like a solution looking for a problem that may not exist. Airports and consultants appear to already have the necessary tools for this area of concern. Also the statement says “prototype,“ and this suggests that more work and additi

2、onal funding will be required later. The core assumption is that an “efficient data model“ can be arrived at that will represent the various airports types and sizes; contractors; and contracting means, needs, and wants. There are too many variables for such an assumption. Review Panel Comments: Not

3、 recommended The product is an extension of GIS, and is a tool for something airports dont really need. There are more practical ways to manage. The product is more practical at the design stage. Vendors can supply this if its merited. It is difficult to adopt and maintain such a tool, particularly

Meanwhile, this project will also design and recommend a building and space numbering system and related standard operating procedures that

Review different types of building and interior data modeling approaches and then identify an efficient data model that can be applied in managing 2D and 3D building and interior spaces information 2

10、. Review existing building and interior space numbering systems that have been used in United States airports. Identify the limitation, and then recommend a building and space numbering system that can help airports to maintain one set of synchronized building and space numbers which are the key for
