Common Name: acifuorfen 1.1 The word “acifluorfen” (pronounced las-dflu(a)r- fen) has been accepted as the American National Stan- dard Common Name for the chemical 5- 2-chloro-4- (trifluoromethyl)phenoxy -2-nitrobenzoic acid. 1.2 Acceptance signifies compliance with American Na- tio

3、nal Standard Procedure for the Acceptance of an American National Standard Common Name for a Pest Control Chemical, ANSI K62.1-1974. “acifluorfen” with respect to any product, whether or not manufactured or formulated by it, which contains a pest control chemical conforming to the description set fo

4、rth in this American National Standard. 3. Limitations Neither the American National Standards Institute nor its committee guarantees or assumes any responsibility that use of this name in connection with this or any other chemical or product will not infringe on or con- flict with any existing prop

5、rietary name, trademark, or trade name. Approval as an American National Stan- dard Common Name constitutes recognition by the 2. 14、ive preemergence and postemergence herbicidal chemical for control of certain annual grasses and major broadleaf weeds in soybeans, peanuts, and other large seeded legumes, and in rice. Major broadleaf weeds controlled include annual morning-glory species, cocklebur, velvetleaf, jimsonweed, pigweed,

15、 Pennsylvania smartweed, common ragweed, and lambs-quarters. In early postemergence treatment, it also controls many grasses including foxtail species and seedling Johnsongrass. In preemergence application, it shows potential against most of the same weeds but requires higher rates than recommended
