Abstract ChemicallyAcceleratedVibratoryFinishingiscapableofrefininghundredsofgearsperhou
4、rtoasuperfinishedisotropic condition. This robust commercial technology virtually eliminates wear and contact fatigue pitting. Studies have confirmedthisprocessismetallurgicallysafeforboththroughhardenedandcasecarburizedalloysteels. Theisotropic superfinishachievesanRa1.5?in.whilemaintainingatleasta
5、nAGMA12qualitynumber. Metrology,Topography, ScanningElectronMicroscopy,Photomicroscopy,HydrogenEmbrittlement,andRollingSlidingContactFatigueresults are presented. Examples of OEM production and high performance racecar transmissions are included. Additional proven applications of Chemically Accelera
