2、1.1 The word “metsulfovax” (pronounced mat-sul-f- vax) has been accepted as the American National Stan- dard Common Name for the chemical 2,4-dimethyl-N- phenyl-5-thiazolecarboxamide. 1.2 Acceptance signifies compliance with American National Standard Common Name for a Pest Control Chemical -Procedu

3、re for Acceptance, ANSI K62.1- 1985. 2. Use of Common Name 2.1 The common name applies to the 100% pure chemical. 2.2 Technical grades and formulations shall indicate the percentage of metsulfovax present; for example, metsulfovax - approximately 92-95%. 2.3 The sponsor2 of the common name “metsulfo

4、fax” has agreed to release and permit the use of the name Also known as 2,4-dimethyl-5-thiazolecarboxanilide. Name furnished upon request. 5、 to the de- scription set forth in this American National Standard. 3. Limitations Neither the American National Standards Institute nor the Accredited Standards Committee for Common Names for Pest Control Chemicals, K62, guarantees or assumes any responsibility that use of this name in con- nection

6、 with this or any other chemical or product will not infringe on or conflict with any existing propri- etary name, trademark, or trade name. Approval as an American National Standard Common Name consti- tutes recognition by the Institute that a consensus ex- ists within Accredited Standards Committe

7、e K62, oper- ating under Institute procedures and basing its recom- mendation on data submitted by a sponsor, favoring consideration of the use of the name to designate the pest control chemical described herein by all interested persons. The information concerning the chemical and physical properti

8、es of the chemical is not a part of the standard but is provided solely as an aid to identifica- tion, and its accuracy is not guaranteed. An American National Standard implies a consensus of those substantially concerned with its scope and provisions, An American National Standard is intended as a

9、guide to aid the manufacturer, the consumer, and the general public. The existence of an American National Stan- dard does not in any respect preclude anyone, whether he has approved the standard or not, from manufacturing, marketing, purchasing, or using products, processes, or procedures not confo

10、rming to the standard. American National Standards are subject to periodic review and users are cautioned to obtain the latest editions. The American National Standards Institute does not develop standards and will in no circumstances give an interpretation of any American National Standard. Moreove

11、r, no person sha have the right or authority to issue an interpretation of an American National Standard in the name of the American National Standards Institute.
