Common Name: carbosulfan 1.1 The word “carbosulfan” (pronounced ,kr-b-sal- fan) has been accepted as the American National Stan- dard Common Name for the chemical 2,3-dihydro. 2,2-dimethyl-7-benzofuranyl (dibutylamino)thio methylcarbamate. 1.2 Acceptance signifies compliance wit

3、h American National Standard Procedure for the Acceptance of an American National Standard Common Name for a Pest Control Chemical, ANSI K62.1-1979. 2. Use of Common Name 2.1 The common name applies to the 100% pure chemical, 2.2 Technical grades and formulations shall indicate the percentage of car

4、bosulfan present; for example, carbosulfan - 88-93%. 2.3 The sponsor of the common nanie “carbosulfan” has agreed to release and permit the use of the name Name furnished upon request. This material is retxoduced from American National Standard “carbosulfan” with respect to any product, whether or n

5、ot manufactured or formulated by it, which contains a pest control chemical confoi ining to the description set forth in this American National Standard. 3. Limitations Neither the American National Standards institute nor its committee guarantees or assumes any responsibility that use of this name

6、in connection with this or any other chemical or product wiil not infringe on or con- flict with any existing proprietary name, trademark, or trade name. Approval as an American National Stan- dard Common Name constitutes recognition by the Institute that a consensus exists within a representative c

7、ommittee, operating under Institute procedures and basing its recommendation on data submitted by a sponsor, favoring consideration of the use of the name to designate the pest control chemical described herein by all interested persons. The information concerning the chemical and physical propertie

14、e asan insecticidal chemical for control of citrus rust mite, alfalfa weevil, corn rootworm, aphids, Colorado potato beetle, leafhoppers, codling moth, plum curculio, and citrus thrips. It may be used on various crops, including citrus and deciduous fruits, corn, rice, potatoes, sugarcane, and coffe

15、e. It may be applied as a granular formulation to soil at rates of 0.5 to 10.0 kilograms per hectare. When applied to soil, it is effective in controlling lesion, stunt, spiral, and root knot nematodes as well as insects. Foliar applications usually require 0.25 to 4.50 kilograms per hectare.
