The 1989 edition of this Standard endorsed as an Australian Standard, and included a copy of ISO 8501-1:1988, Preparation of steel substrates before application of paints and related products?Visual assessment of surface cleaning?Rust grades and preparation grades of uncoa

12、ted steel substrates and of steel substrates after overall removal of previous coatings. This is not the case with this edition. Rather, reference is made to ISO 8501- 1:1988, so a copy of the ISO Standard is required for the application of this Standard. Note that users of the 1989 edition of AS 16

13、27.9 may use the copy of ISO 8501-1 included with that Standard. A copy of ISO 8501-1 may be purchased from Standards Australia.
