3、CE/12 Draft for comment 77/79092 DC ISBN 0 580 11012 5 Foreword Because of the difficulties reported in obtaining sheet material to produce washers to the required imperial thicknesses, this 1979 edition has been prepared to specify the washer thicknesses in metric units. Reasonable thickness tolera
4、nces are specified to cover a broad band of the sheet tolerances available. Imperial thickness materials may still be used if the overall tolerances are maintained. Amendment No. 1 (AMD 1185) to the 1970 edition, which specified dimensions of oversizes, has been incorporated. A British Standard does
5、 not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. BS SP 151 BY is a 632 alloy steel washer 0.8 mm thick, oversize. 8. Imperial thickness materials may be used provid
