It supersedes BS 1902-5.0:1983, which is withdr

7、awn. This Section serves as an introduction to the whole of Part 5 of BS 1902, the general arrangement of which is shown on the following page, together with a list of the Sections of Part 5. The Sections are published separately. Each method in Part 5 is suitable for use as a laboratory method, or

8、as a referee method, unless otherwise stated in the scope of the Section concerned. Any appendices to the Sections of Part 5 describe alternative methods, or alternatives to some portions of the methods, which may be used in the circumstances described in the introduction to the appendix concerned.

9、Unless otherwise specified in the scope of the Section concerned, each method is applicable to both dense shaped and shaped insulating products. At the time of publishing this revision, European standards are being prepared for some of the methods listed, which therefore have not been recently revie

10、wed. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application.
