9、turn low power rotary potentiometers of assessed quality. 2 Dimensions and outline drawings 2.1 The spindle and bush dimensions shall preferably be chosen from BS 9130. 2.2 Where possible, gauging dimensions shall be indicated upon the outline drawing on the front cover of the detail specification a

10、nd shall normally comprise the following: 1) Depth from mounting face. 2) Diameter. 3) Fixing dimensions. 4) Location of terminations. 5) Spindle and bush dimensions. 2.3 The detail specification shall contain an appendix giving the drawing of the potentiometer with full detail dimensions, where it

11、is not feasible to give this information on the front cover. It shall also identify the normal mounting means. 3 Ratings and characteristics (see 1.1.12 and 2.1.5 of BS 9130) 3.1 The standard values of ratings and characteristics shall be selected in accordance with 1.1.12 of BS 9130, except that th

12、e values of rated dissipation shall be limited to 10 W and below. 3.2 A statement of derating or a derating curve shall be given and shall be as shown in 2.1.5.2 of BS 9130. 3.3 The preferred rating for rotary switches attached to potentiometers is 1 A, 250 V a.c., 40 Hz to 60 Hz. 4 Drying When dryi
