It is identical with ISO 4926 “Road vehicles Hydraulic brake systems Non-petrol

5、eum base reference fluids”. This is Part 1 of BS AU 174 which covers components for vehicle braking systems using non-petroleum base fluids. It is intended to issue other Parts specifying non-petroleum base brake fluid and cups, boots and seals for use in the braking system. An associated British St

6、andard will specify similar components for vehicle braking systems using petroleum base fluids. In drafting this series of British Standards full consideration has been given to the work of subcommittee TC 22/SC2 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Terminology and convention

7、s. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication, without deviation, as a British Standard. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is especially drawn to the following. The comma has been used

8、throughout as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the baseline as the decimal marker. Where the words “International Standard” appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as “British Standard”. A British Standard does not purport to includ
