This Amendment to the European Standard EN 12815:2001 shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 200
27、5, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by July 2007. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directives. BS EN 12815:2001+A1:2004 Page 4 1 Scope This European Standard specifies requirements r
30、elating to the design, manufacture, construction, safety and performance (efficiency and emission), instructions and marking together with associated test methods and test fuels for type testing residential cooking appliances fired by solid fuel. This Standard is applicable to hand fired appliances
31、whose primary function is to cook and whose secondary function is to provide heat into the space in which they are installed. Additionally, where fitted with a boiler, they also provide domestic hot water and/or central heating. These appliances may burn either solid mineral fuels, peat briquettes,
32、natural or manufactured wood logs or be multi-fuel in accordance with the appliance manufacturers instructions. This standard is not applicable to hopper fed or mechanically fired appliances or those appliances having fan assisted combustion air. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorpo
