It partially supersedes BS 1113:1999 which will be withdrawn when Parts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11 of BS EN 12952 are published. The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee PVE/2, Wate
4、r-tube boilers, which has the responsibility to: A list of organizations represented on this committee can be obtained on request to its secretary. Additional information The United kingdom voted against the acceptance of this European Standard at the Formula Vote stage. The principal UK objections
5、were as follows: a) There is no reference in the EN foreword to CR 12952-17, Water-tube boilers and auxiliary installations Part 17: Guidelines for the involvement of an inspection body independent of the manufacturer. b) CEN/TC 269 passed a resolution that Parts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 be published as
6、a package necessary for the design, construction and safety of water-tube boilers but no mention of this is given in the EN foreword. c) 6.3.5 gives a requirement that pressure parts of a boiler shall be marked with the manufacturers brandmark and property class symbol, or the steel grade code numbe
7、r in accordance with EN ISO 4759-1. However, EN ISO 4759-1 only refers to tolerances for fasteners and there is no mention of marking. d) Figure 9.4 shows various typical features relating to tube expansion but incorrectly labels item 6 in the key as a radial hole. e) 10.4.2 describes a method of po
8、st-weld heat treatment. The second paragraphs gives a requirement that where the attaching butt weld is at a distance less then from the branch/stub to the shell weld, the heat treatment shall be applied simultaneously to the butt weld. This requirement is incorrectly illustrated on the left-hand si
9、de of Figure 10.4-3 as ? f) Figure B.1 shows examples of tube or nozzle to header connections, however, Figure B.1d) is incorrectly drawn. On the right hand side of Figure B.1d) the central weld prep ? is incorrectly shown to be on the inside of the tube, when in fact it is the outside of the tube t
10、hat has been machined down. This European Standard shall be given the status of a natio
38、nal standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2002, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2002. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trad
39、e Association, and supports essential safety requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)1). For relationship with Pressure Equipment Directive see informative annex ZA, which is an integral Part of this document. According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards or
