4、: Portable luminaires for garden use, and its Amendments A l 1 : 1994, A12 : 1995, A2 : 1996 and Al 3 : 1997 and Corrigendum January 1999, published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). It was derived from IEC 598-2-7 : 1982, edition 1, including Amendments 1 : 1

5、987 and 2 : 1994, published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The British Standard supersedes BS 4533 : Section 102.7 : 1984, which is withdrawn. The CENELEC Common Modifications have been implemented at the appropriate places in the text of IEC Publication 598-2-7 (1982) editi

6、on 1, into which Amendments 1 and 2 have been incorporated, and are indicated by a side line in the margin. The foreword and preface of IEC Publication 598-2-7 (1982) edition 1, the preface of Amendment No 1 (19871, and the deleted parts of the original IEC text which do not form part of the text of

7、 EN 60 598-2-7 have been quoted in national appendix NA. Annexes designated normative are part of the body of the standard. Annexes designated informative are given for information only. National appendices are designated informative. In 7.1, 7.2, 7.12 and 7.13 where the words section of Part 2 of I

8、EC Publication 598. section of Part 2 and section of Publication 598-2 appear they should be read as section of BS 4533. In 7.1 and 7.2 where Part 1 appears this should be read as Part 101. Users of this British Standard are advised to consider the desirability of third party certification of product conformity with this British St

10、andard based on testing and continuing surveillance, which may be coupled with assessment of a suppliers quality systems against the appropriate Part of BS 5750. Enquiries as to the availability of third party certification schemes will be forwarded by BSI to the Association of Certification Bodies.

11、 If a third party certification scheme does not already exists, users should consider approaching an appropriate body from the list of Association members. The foreword of Amendment A l 2 to the EN makes reference to the date of withdrawal (dow) of conflicting national standards as 1995-10-01. In th

12、is case, the relevant national standard is BS EN 60598-2-7 but the date of withdrawal relates only to those parts of the British Standard subject to Amendment No. 2. Certificates and marks will not be awarded after this date with respect to the British Standard not incorporating Amendment No. 2. The

13、y will be awarded only to the amended British Standard. However, such certificates and marks already awarded with respect to the British Standard not incorporating Amendment No. 2 may continue to apply for production until 2000-10-01. Analogous provisions obtain in respect of Amendment No. 3, for wh

14、ich the dow is 1997-03-01 and the expiry date for current approvals is 2002-03-01. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itsel

24、tional Standard IEC 5982-7 (first edition - 1982) as aniended by Amendment No. 1 (1987) and a common modification was approved by CENELEC on 1988-09-13 as a European Standard. The provisions of Sec

27、tion Three of Publication 598-1 apply. The maximum power calculated from the maximum current rating of the supply cable shall be 7.5.1 marked in close proximity to the mains socket-outlet(s) incorporated in the luminaire. 7.6 Construction The provisions of Section Four of Publication 5%-I apply, tog

28、ether with the requirements of Sub-clauses 7.6.1 to 7.6.7. 7.6.1 Carriers and clips for flexible cords shall be of insulating material, or shall be provided with a fixed insulating lining if they are accessible or are in contact with accessible metal parts. Compliance shall be checked by inspection

29、Portable luminaires shall have adequate stability. 7.6.2 Compliance shall be checked by placing the luminaire in the most unfavourable position of normal use on a plane inclined at an angle of 15“ to the horizontal, the plane being such that the luminaire does not slide. The luminaire shall not over

Means shall be provided so thai. the supply flexible cable or cord cannot be damaged in any possible normal position of use of the lumina

The cable entry shall be so located or shielded that it is not likely to be adversely affected by dirt splashing up from the ground. 7.6.3 Compliance shall be checked by inspection and, if necessary, by an installation test. Note - As an example, this requirement may be met by means of a stop p

32、late on a spike intended to be driven into the ground, the distance from the ground to the cable entry being at leasr IO cm. 7.6.4 Clause 4.6 of Section Four of Publication 598- 1 does not apply. 7.6.5 Portable luminaires for garden use shall not have more than two cable entries. Compliance shall be

33、 checked by inspection. 7.6.6 The connection between the socket-outlet for providing power to other luminaires and the associated plug shall be in accordance with at least the same degree of protection as the luminaires but not less than IPX3. This degree of protection shall be maintained with or wi

34、thout plug. Mains socket-outlets mounted on Class II luminaires shall comply with IEC regional or national standards SO as to allow connection only to these outlets of other Class II luminaires. Note. - It is the intention of the Standard to $disallow the connection of equipment using standard plugs

35、 on Class II luminaires as the earthing connection will be lost when connecting Class I luminaires to an outlet on a Class II luminaire. Mains socket-outlets mounted on Class I luminaires shall allow connection only of Class I or Class II luminaires and shall conform to IEC, regional or national sta

36、ndards. Compliance is checked by inspection where necessary. Lampholders and plugs shall be of material resistant to tracking. 7.6.7 Compliance shall be checked by the test described in Clause 13.4 of Section Thirteen of Publication 598- I. 7.7 Creepage distances and clearances, The provisions of Se

41、rotection against electric shock The provisions of Section Eight of Publication 598- 1 apply. 7.12 Endurance tests and thermal tests The provisions of Section Twelve of Publication 598-1 apply. Luminaires with an IP classification greater than IP20 shall be subjected to the relevant tests of Clauses

42、 12.4, 12.5 and 12.6 of Section Twelve of Publication 598-1 after the test(s) of Clause 9.2 but before the test(s) of Clause 9.3 of Section Nine of Publication 598-1 specified in Clause 7.13 of this Section of Publication 598-2. 7.13 Resistance to dust and moisture The provisions of Section Nine of

43、Publication 598-1 apply together with the requirements of Sub-clause 7.13.1. For luminaires with an IP classification greater than IP20 the order of the tests specified in Section Nine of Publication 598-1 shall be as specified in Clause 7.12 of this Section of Publication 598-2. 7.13.1 Class II por

44、table luminaires for garden use shall be tested in the most unfavourable of the overturned positions likely to occur. 7.14 Insulation resistance and electric strength The provisions of Section Ten of Publication 598-1 apply. 7.15 Resistance to heat, fire and tracking The provisions of Section Thirte

47、97 Justification ANNEX ZB (normative) SPECIAL NATIONAL CONDITIONS The following special national conditions exist in the countries mentioned; in general, they are due to the electricity supnly system and wiring rules. Sub-clause 7.4.1 In Denmark: luminaires shall be classified as Class II or Class I
