8、 has been prepared under the direction of the Shipbuilding and Marine Standards Committee and is identical with ISO 6765:1985 “Shipbuilding Shipborne barges, series 3 Main dimensions”, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 6765 was produced as a result of interna

9、tional discussion in which the UK took an active part. Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Stan

10、dards; attention is drawn especially to the following. Where the words “International Standard” appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as “Part of MA 105”. 13、 and field of application This International Standard lays down the main dimensions and the dimensions of the principal constructional elements of shipborne barges, series 3. 2 Definition shipborne barge, series 3 barge handled aboard a barge carrier by an elevator or by a system based on the floati

14、ng-dock principle 3 Barge dimensions The main dimensions of barges, series 3, shall be in accordance with Table 1. The stationary equipment installed on the deck at fore and aft ends in all places shall nowhere project beyond the overall height. 4 Adjusting and securing components The adjusting and

15、securing components include: a) bottom positioning angles; b) tie-down fittings for securing barges on the upper deck of a barge carrier; c) points of contact of securing devices (jacks) on the tween deck of a carrier. The arrangements are given in Figure 1, Figure 2 and Figure 3. Table 1 Main barge
