This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 1998, and conflicting national standards shall be withd

19、rawn at the latest by October 1998. The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Eac

37、h member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the Internation

38、al Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies

International Standard ISO 11681-2 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 23, Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry, Subcommittee SC 17, Manually portable forest machinery. ISO 11681 consists of the following parts, under the general title Machinery for forestry Por

40、table chain-saws Safety requirements and testing: Part 1: Chain-saws for normal forestry work; Part 2: Chain-saws for tree service. 42、n This part of ISO 11681 has been prepared for a special type of chain-saws used by trained persons for tree service work up in trees. This part of ISO 11681 differs from ISO 11681-11) as follows: Clause 1: !the tree service chain-saws are limited in size by the maximum allowed dry mass of 4,3 kg; C

43、lause 3: a definition of trained operator has been added and that for chain saws for tree service has been changed;“ subclause 4.1: the required handle dimensions have been altered; subclause 4.3: !a requirement for the sideways balance, measured in accordance with a new Annex D, has been added with

44、 a limited holding moment of 6 Nm; subclause 4.4: the non-manual chain-brake system shall meet stricter requirements than those in ISO 13772 and the allowed kickback angle has been reduced to 25;“ subclause 4.6: a permanently fixed spiked bumper is excluded; !Text deleted“ subclause 4.12: the requir

Machinery is to comply as appropriate with ISO/TR 12100 for hazards which are not covered by this part of ISO 11681. 1 Scope This part of ISO 11681 specifies safety requirements and their verification for the design

49、 and construction of portable combustion-engined, hand-held chain-saws for tree service, designed for use by !a trained operator for pruning and dismantling standing tree crowns. It is applicable to chain-saws having a maximum mass of the saw equal to 4,3 kg, without guide bar and saw chain and with empty tanks“.
