This standard includes requirements for all the single function admixtures currently covered by BS 5075 : Parts 1, 2 and 3 but not the dual function admixtures such as retarding water-

7、reducing admixtures and retarding superplasticizing admixtures. It is expected that an amendment to this standard, covering the dual function admixtures in BS 5075 : Parts 1 and 3, will be published. Requirements for water resisting admixtures are included. These have also been known as waterproofin

Plasticizing/water reducing admixtures and super plasticizing/high range water reducing admixtures are subject to performance requirements at equal w/c ratio and equal consisten

9、ce. The requirement for total chlorine in table 1 refers to ISO 1158. As this test procedure is intended for chlorine based materials, such as PVC, it is probably necessary to use a larger quantity of admixture than that specified in ISO 1158 in order to obtain accurate results within the sensitivit

10、y of the test method. In one set of trials the weight of sample was increased by a factor of five and the reagents diluted from 0,1 N to 0,01 N to obtain an accurate estimate of the chlorine content. Chlorine content is not the same as chloride ion content which should also be determined. A list of

27、 Copy, (c) BSI Page 3 EN 934-2 : 1997 BSI 1998 1 Scope This European Standard specifies definitions and requirements for admixtures for use in concrete. It covers admixtures for plain, reinforced and prestressed concrete which are used in site mixed, ready mixed concrete and precast concrete. The pe

28、rformance requirements in this standard apply to admixtures used in concrete of normal consistence. They may not be applicable to admixtures intended for other types of concrete such as semi-dry and earth moist mixes. A definition of multifunction admixtures is included but requirements for these ad

Provisions governing the practical application of admixtures in the production of concrete, i.e. requirements concerning composition, mixing, placing, curing, etc., of concrete containing admixtures, are not part of this standard. 2 Normative references This European

The admixtures defined in 3.2.1 to 3.2.9 shall conform to the corresponding performance requirements in Tables 2 to 9, which cover the main functions and limit some secondary effects. High range water reducing/superplasticizing admixtures shall conform to the requirements in Table 3.1 and Table 3.2. Where manufacturers stated values are required, these shall be provided in writing on request. NOTE. Admixtures should not lead to a significant change in
