8、01 NOTE 1This specification complies with AICMA Recommendation FE-PA92-HT for material heat treated to a tensile strength of 900 N/mm2 minimum. NOTE 2Other forms of this alloy are covered by British Standard: BS HR 650, Bolt material. 1 Inspection and testing procedure This British Standard shall be

9、 used in conjunction with the relevant sections of the latest issue of BS HR 100 as follows: 2 Manufacture The material shall be manufactured by one of the following processes: 1) air melting; 2) vacuum melting; 3) air melting and vacuum refining; 4) consumable electrode remelting. 3 Chemical compos

10、ition The alloy shall contain: 4 Condition 4.1 Unless otherwise agreed, the material shall be supplied in the appropriate condition stated below: 5 Heat treatment 5.1 Solution treatment. The material shall be heated at a temperature of 980 10 C for not less than 1 h, followed by quenching in oil or

11、water. 5.2 Precipitation treatment. The material shall be heated at a temperature of 720 10 C for not less than 16 h, followed by cooling in air. 6 Mechanical properties 6.1 Mechanical tests. The mechanical properties obtained from test pieces selected, prepared and tested in accordance with the rel

12、evant requirements of HR 100 shall be as follows: 6.1.1 Room temperature tensile test Bars for machining and extruded sections Sections 1 and 2 Forging stock and billets and bars for subsequent working Sections 1 and 3 ForgingsSections 1 and 4 Parts finally heat treated after machining Sections 1 an

This

16、 test shall be carried out on a combined notched and unnotched test piece or on separate notched and unnotched test pieces. If a combined test piece is used, rupture shall occur in the unnotched portion. If separate test pieces are used, the time to rupture of the notched test piece shall exceed tha

17、t of the unnotched test piece. 6.2 Hardness 6.2.1 The hardness of material solution treated in accordance with 5.1 shall be not greater than 201 HB or 210 HV. 6.2.2 The hardness of finished parts and test samples finally heat treated in accordance with 5.1 and 5.2 shall be: 248 min./341 max. HB or 2

18、60 min./360 max. HV 7 Grain size 7.1 One sample shall be selected from each batch of bars for machining and from each batch of forgings, heat treated in accordance with 5.1 and 5.2, for grain size examination. 7.2 The samples shall exhibit a uniform average grain size as follow, or finer: Temperatur
