16、 -,-,- EIA-704- 1 Page 1 Adhesively-Sealed Component Packaging 1 Scope This addendum to Standard 704 provides requirements for packaging components for automatic handling using adhesively-sealed cover tape and carrier tape. 2 Introduction This addendum was formulated to provide materials and process

17、es necessary to package components such that they may be automatically handled. 3 Requirements The cover tape shd have a total peel strength of ftom 0.1 N to 1.5 N (10 grams to 150 grams calibrated scale reading) for 72 mm through 200 mm wide carrier tapes. The direction of pull shali be opposite th

18、e direction of carrier tape travel such that the carrier tape makes an angle of between 165 and 180 degrees with the top of the cover tape. The separation of the cover tape from carrier tape shall occur at a rate of 300 d m i n u t e f 10 dminute during peeling (see Standard 704 subclause 4.2 (d). C

The entire carrier tape must release from the reel hub when the last portion of the tape unwinds from the reel without damage to the carrier tape and the remaining components in the cavities.
