26、minology is common t o these switches. Toggle Switch: A switch manually operated by moving a projecting lever through a small arc. Paddle Switch: A switch manually operated by moving a projecting paddle lever through a small arc. Rocker Switch: A switch manually operated by moving a projecting rocke

27、r button through a small arc . Position: ( A mechanical location referring t o actuator position.) A s e t t i n g of the operator results i n a p a r t i c u l a r circuit condition. A position may be momentary o r maintained when the externally applied actuating force is removed. Operating Force:

28、The externally applied force required t o move t h e switch actuator from one position to an adjacent position. O Throw: Any toggle position where a moving contact(s) makes contact with a stationary contact(s) . A single-throw switch makes contact i n only one operator position. A double-throw switc

29、h makes contact i n two Oper a t o r pos i t ions. Electrical Ratings: The combinations of voltage and c u r r e n t under which the switch s h a l l operate s a t i s f a c t o r i l y under specified conditions for testing.
