1、 ENGINEERING STANDARDS Material Specification Plastics GMP.PP.116R Polypropylene (PP) Recycled, 43% Glass Fiber Reinforced, Chemically Coupled, Copolymer - ISO Tests 1 Scope This specification covers the properties of a Recycled, 43% Glass Fiber Reinforced, Chemi- cally Coupled Polypropylene Copolym

2、er. 1.1 Material Description. Materials under this specification shall have a minimum of 25% recy- cled content by weight, as defined in GMW3116. Post-consumer and/or post-industrial materials apply. Virgin material, GMP.PP.039 may be substituted for this recycled material provided parts made from v

3、irgin materials have been approved through the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). 1.2 Symbol. The material abbreviation accord- ing to ISO 11469 is PP-GF43. 1.4 Typical Application. Typical applications include the following: filler Panel. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards

GMW3001 GMW3059 GMW3116 GMW3221 3 Requirements 3.1 Requirements on Delivery. Important p

5、hysical, mechanical and thermal properties that characterize the material are summarized in charts. The color shall be specified on drawings, in material specifications and otherwise. Unless otherwise specified, injection molding of test specimens shall be accomplished per ISO 294 with the condition

6、s for injection molding from ISO 1873-2. All test specimens shall be brought to equilib- rium in standard conditions for temperature and moisture and tested in that state as defined in GMW3221 Code A, unless the test method indi- cates that standard conditioning is not required. Condition specimens

7、for a minimum of 24 h prior to testing or until moisture equilibrium is reached. If specimens are tested outside the conditioned environment, they shall be tested within 10 minutes of removal. The minimum values specified in the property tables must be met by test specimens in natural, black, or in

8、a standard sampled color if natural or black are not available. For colored grades where other pigment and additive systems (e.g. stabilizer) are used, the impact values shall not decrease more than 10% from the specified minimum value. 3.1.1 Physical Requirements. 14、ents of GMW3001, Rules and Regulations for Mate- rial Specifications. 5.2 All materials supplied to this specification must comply with the requirements of GMW3059, Restricted and Reportable Sub- stances for Parts. 6 Approved Sources Engineering qualification of an approved source is required for th

15、is specification. Only sources listed in the GM Materials File (i.e. MATSPC) under this specification number have been quali- fied by engineering as meeting the requirements of this specification. 7 Coding System This material specification shall be referenced in other documents, drawings, VTS, CTS,

16、 etc. as follows: GMP.PP.116R or GMN7524 8 Release and Revisions 8.1 Release. This material specification origi- nated in April 2001 and was approved by the PP Specialist in June 2003. It was first published in October 2003.
