An anaerobic methacrylate ester resin base liquid that solidifies by polymerization when confined between 2 surfaces in the absence of a
2、ir or by exposure to high temper- atures. When cured the compound becomes a tough plastic material capable of providing a seal for water, gasoline, oil and other liquids used in the assembly of automotive and related products. 1.1 The material shall be capable of sealing gaps up to 0.25 mm between 2
3、 metal surfaces and withstanding pressure of 34 MPa upon full cure. Excessive amounts of oil and dirt must be removed from the sealing surfaces for max results. This mate- rial is specially formulated for robotic application systems. 1.2 References to this specification without a type designa- tion

GMlOOOM GM6013M ASTM D2094 GM1003M ASTM D1002 ASTM D2095 3 REQUIREMENTS. 3.1 All materials submitted to this specification must meet all requirements of GMlOOOM, Restricted and Reportable Chemicals as well as of GM1003M, Adhesive Standard Requirements. 3.2 PR

Material to be tested per methods outlined in GM6013M. 3.2.1 Color: Type I: Red Type II: Blue 3.2.2 Density: 1 .O to 1.2 kg/L 3.2.3 Shelf lie 25C: 1 yr min 3.2.4 Flash point, TCC: 9OC rain 3.2.5 Solvent content None 3.2.6 Viscosity 25C; Brookfield, HBT, Spindle TB Helipath 3.2.6.1
6、0.5 rpm: 300 to 900 Pa.s (See NOTE 1) 3.2.6.2 5.0 rpm: 85 to 200 Pa.s (See NOTE 1) 3.2.7 The compound shall be smooth and homogenous, free from lumps, caked material and particles of foreign matter. 3.2.8 Cure time 25C, 90% of full strength: 72 h 3.2.9 Storage stability, viscosity increase: 50% max
7、3.3 PROPERTIES CURED. 3.3.1 Operating range, continuous: -55 to 135C 3.3.2 Tensile strength (See 3.4.1): 4100 kPa min (See NOTE 2) 3.3.3 Tensile shear strength (ASTM D1002): 2750 kPa min (See NOTE 2) 3.3.4 Sealing capability, 22C (See 3.4.2). No leakage at gaps, pressure and time shown as follows: 3
8、.3.5 Flexibility 22C. 0.25 mm thick. No cracking over a 2.5 mm dia mandrel NOTE 1: Pas x 1000 - MPas NOTE 2: Cure 22C for 72 h or 70C for 45 minutes 3.4 TESTS. 3.4.1 Tensile strength. Test per ASTM D2094 and AST? D2095 using round specimens 12.7 f 0 mm dia x 50 mm long grit blasting sealing surface
