1、 ENGINEERING STANDARDS Material Specification Adhesives 9985490 Thread Sealer, Preapplied for Vehicle Applications 1 Scope This specification describes the qualification re- quirements of preapplied thread sealers with no chemical locking. These sealers are used to pre- vent leakage of gases and/or

Polymeric, water based dispersion cont

When specific characteristics of an adhesive are needed for an application, adhe- sives can be described by “type” instead of li

MATSPC identifies which materials are approved to each type. If a certain type of adhesive is not neces- sary for the application, simply call out “9985490

Preapplied thread seal- ers have a range of applications including bolts, plugs, nuts, and fittings that require thread seal- ing, but not thread locking, ability. Applications of sealants approved to this specification include eng
