This Standard applies to automatic coupler for freight and passenger cars and also locomotives of main-line and industrial 1520 (1524) mm

3、gauge railways. This Standard does not apply to automatic coupler for special-purpose cars, electric train cars, diesel-multiple unit train cars and steam locomotive cars. The requirements of this Standard are mandatory. (Amended Wording, Amendment No. 2). 2. The automatic coupler basic dimensions (

4、at the place of coupler shank abutment to a thrust plate) shall comply with those specified on the drawing. The drawing does not define the design of automatic coupler assembly units and parts. 6、is equal to: 327 3 for passenger cars, 327 5 . 4 5 . 1 + for freight cars 3475-81 3 (Amended Wording, Amendments Nos. 1 and 2). 2.1. The draft gear travel shall be not less than 70 mm. For the draft gear travel of 70 mm the distance L between the bottom cofferdam of the front stop and the traction c

7、lamp face surface shall be not less than 80 mm, the front stop length l shall be no more than 575 mm for newly-made freight cars and locomotives and no more than 580 mm for newly-made passenger cars; the front stop length l of no more than 580 mm is allowed for operating freight and passenger cars a

8、nd locomotives. For the draft gear travel of more than 70 mm the distance L and the length l shall be established in accordance with the chosen travel value. For cars, which have a centering arm with elastic support for automatic coupler shank, the value L shall be established by the agreement with

9、the customer. 2.2. The height h of the automatic coupler horizontal axis from the rail heads (it shall be measured in point that is a point of intersection of the automatic coupler horizontal axis with the vertical plane passing through the centering arm front face) shall be: no more than 1080 mm fo

10、r newly-made and operating freight and passenger cars and locomotives (unloaded and without servicing); not less than 1040 mm for newly-made freight and passenger cars and locomotives (unloaded and without servicing); not less than 950 mm for operating freight cars (loaded and with servicing); not l

11、ess than 980 mm for operating passenger cars and locomotives (loaded and with servicing). 2.3. The automatic coupler head deviation upwards from the horizontal position shall not exceed 3 mm and its sagging shall be not more than 10 mm. The automatic coupler head deviation shall be determined as a d

12、ifference of automatic coupler heights measured in point a (a point of intersection of the automatic coupler horizontal axis with the meshing plane) and in point . 2.4. The clearance between the traction clamp and the ridge beam ceiling or limiting bars shall be no more than 24 mm. 2.5. The width of

13、 an opening in the front stop shall provide the automatic coupler deviation, when negotiating the designed freight and passenger cars and locomotives in the minimum radius curves, pursuant to the technical project statement, approved in accordance with the established procedure. 2.6. For eight-axle

14、freight cars and also for locomotives the distance between the base surfaces of the front and back stops shall be established by the agreement with the customer. 2.7. For newly-made and operating tetra-axle freight covered cars it is allowed to apply back stops with 270 mm distance between the base

15、surface and the cofferdam. 2.8. The automatic couplers with the distance less than 350 mm between the meshing plane and the stop on their head may be applied by the agreement with the customer. 2.9. For cars, which have a centering arm with elastic support for automatic coupler shank, it is allowed,
