、 must send a letter to General Motors (GM) with the form in Appendix A completely filled out. If GM personnel want additional information, the marketer must present the full American Chemistry Council (ACC) data package to GM. Oil marketers must meet all the requirements contained in GM6094M and may

、 not claim conformance to selected portions only. 3.2 Oils must meet all requirements of the American Petroleum Institutes (API) Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (EOLCS) for International Lubricants Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) GF-4 certification, as specified in API P

、ublication 1509, latest edition. The product must have a current API license. 3.3 All engine tests must be conducted according to the procedures specified in the ACC Product Approval Code of Practice, as specified for licensing a product to use the ILSAC Certification Mark. It is the intent that the

、 product actually supplied under this specification (that is, the final formulation) will have passed all requirements defined herein. In the event that GM does not agree with the suitability of any read across, base oil interchange, or other change, GM reserves the right to require additional testi

、ng. 3.4 In addition to meeting the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J300 requirements, the candidate oils must also meet the following requirements for American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D4684 with no yield stress (35 Pa): 0W-30 30 000 cP max at 40C (non- critical) 5W-30 40, 000
