9、tural vehicles Mechanical connections on towed vehicles Hitch-rings Specifications” prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 23, Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry, of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The purpose of this standard is to ensure the interchangeab

10、ility of the mechanical connections on agricultural towed vehicles. The technical content of this British Standard is identical with that of ISO 5692 except that reference to operating conditions has been omitted, as they are considered to be irrelevant, and the minimum angles of articulation are gi

11、ven for information only, as it is considered inappropriate to specify requirements for them in this standard. The hitches specified in this British Standard may be employed on all balanced and non-balanced trailers used in agricultural work, provided that they are made of appropriate material and h

12、ave adequate strength and wear resistance for the type, size and load characteristics of the vehicles to which they are fitted. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Complia

15、e and dimensions for ring-type hitches on agricultural trailers and on agricultural implements attached to the rear of towing vehicles. 2 References The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are given on the inside back cover. 3 Manufacture The ring, which shall be substantially to

16、roidal, shall be forged and the shank shall be forged and/or machined. 4 Dimensions The dimensions of the ring shall be as shown in Figure 1. NOTEProvided that the attachment on the towing vehicle complies with ISO 6489-I or ISO 6489-II, the minimum angles of articulation that will be obtained with

17、a towbar fitted with this ring-type hitch are as shown in Figure 2.
