10、oreword This British Standard has been prepared under the direction of the Packaging and Freight Container Standards Committee, at the request of the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association. The increasing use of plastics closures on tinplate containers has shown the need to standardize methods of
11、 fitting. This standard covers one technique and specifies a range of aperture dimensions. This standard is similar to German Standard DIN 2035. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct app

14、in tinplate containers suitable to receive plug-in plastics closures. 2 Aperture The aperture dimensions shall be in accordance with Table 1. No bead or other feature shall encroach upon the diameter d2. The tinplate temper and thickness and the geometry of the end component shall be such as to with
