9、 speed for tyres and rims fitted to vehicles such as all-terrain equipment, cranes, crash tenders, etc. likely to oper- ate on the highway over long distances at reference speed and under constant load. 2 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in thi
10、s text, constitute provisions of this International Standard. At the time of publi- cation, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this International Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most re-

Rims. 3 Definitions For the purposes of this International Standard, the definitions in IS0 4223-l apply; equivalent terms are given in IS0 3877
13、-l. 4 Tyre designation and marking The designation of the tyre shall be shown on its sidewall and shall include the details in 4.1, it may also include those in 4.2 and 4.3. 4.1 Tyre size and construction code Tyres for mobile cranes in accordance with this Inter- national Standard shall be indicate
14、d as follows: Nominal I Nominal Tyre Nominal section aspect construction rim diameter ROAD width ratio code code 4.1.1 Nominal section width The nominal section width shall be expressed in millimetres, ending in 5. See annex A for nominal section width steps. 4.1.2 Nominal aspect ratio The nominal a
15、spect ratio shall be expressed as a per- centage and shall be a multiple of 5. 4.1.3 Tyre construction code The tyre construction code shall be as follows - “R” for radial ply tyres. 17、 rim diameter code 25; The nominal rim diameter shall be expressed by a code, as specified in IS0 4250-3:-, table 6 b) a service description of, - load-carrying capacity 10 000 kg, 4.1.5 Service identification - reference speed 70 km/h, The word “ROAD” shall be used to identify these tyres which can
18、 be used on roads over long distances at reference speed and under constant load - service identification “ROAD”; shall be marked 4.2 Service description 605/80 R 25 188/E ROAD The service description may be indicated as follows: Load index Speed symbol 5 Tyre dimensions Tables 2 and 3 show, for 95
19、and 80 series tyres re- spectively: 4.2.1 Load index The load index is a numerical code associated with the maximum load a tyre can carry at the speed indi- cated by its speed symbol. a) the tyre designation as indicated in clause 4, b) the measuring rim width code; The correlation between load indi
20、ces and tyre load- c) carrying capacity (TLCC) is as given in table 1. the design tyre dimensions, i e section width and overall diameter; 4.2.2 Speed symbol d) the maximum tyre dimensions in-service. The speed symbol indicates the speed category at which the tyre can carry the load corresponding to
21、 its load index. 6 Tyre load capacities 6.1 Basic tyre loads Tyres for mobile cranes in accordance with this Inter- national Standard have the speed symbol “E”, which corresponds to 70 km/h. Basic tyre loads at 70 km/h (speed symbol E) refer- ence speed and reference inflation pressures for 95 and 8
22、0 series tyres are given in tables 4 and 5 re- spectively. 4.3 Other service characteristics 6.2 Limitations 4.3.1 In the case of tubeless tyres, the marking “TUBELESS” shall be shown on the tyre. In some countries there may be load/speed/inflation pressure limitations because of national requiremen
23、ts. 4.3.2 In the case of a preferred direction of rotation of the tyre, an arrow shall be used to indicate that di- rection. 6.3 Tyre loads at speeds other than reference speed 4.4 Example When a tyre is fitted on a vehicle with a maximum speed capability different from the tyre reference speed, loa
24、d capacities shall be modified as shown in table 6.
