14、development of which the United Kingdom has played an active part. This Part of this standard is identical with ISO 3031:1979 “Needle roller bearings-Thrust needle roller and cage assemblies, thrust washers-Dimensions and tolerances” prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 4, Rolling bearings, of the
15、 International Organization for Standardization (ISO). For purposes of information only, reference is made in this standard to ISO 199 which specifies the tolerances for thrust ball bearings. At the present time, such bearings are covered in BS 292 “Dimensions of ball bearings and cylindrical roller
16、 bearings”. Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication, without deviation, as a British Standard. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is especially drawn to t
17、he following. The comma has been used as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current practice to use a full point on the baseline as the decimal marker. Where the words “International Standard” appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as “British Standard”. A British Standard

Furthermore, it recommends dimensions and tolerances
